Teaching Excellence Award

The Louisiana/Mississippi Mathematical Association of Two-Year Colleges Award for Teaching Excellence is given every year at the annual conference to an outstanding two-year college mathematics instructor from either Louisiana or Mississippi. The winner will receive a plaque and a $250 cash award and will be nominated AMATYC Award for Teaching Excellence from the Southeast Region which is given in odd-numbered years.


 

 


Recipients are members of LaMsMATYC with a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience and are selected based on the following criteria:
 

 

·  Instructional Effectiveness and Support of Students

·  Professional Involvement
   Professional Development/Renewal Activities 

·  Interaction with Colleagues

·  Service to Department/Division/College
